What makes a bird look like a bird? In this workshop we will take on avian anatomy and how to break down the unique shapes and proportions of birds in art, complete with a live bird model for students to draw!
Day one dives into all things avian, learning how their bodies are built and how to break those forms down into drawable shapes.
Our second class will use what we’ve learned to bring our bird illustrations to life and to capture the personality of the bird you choose to draw.
Open to all skill levels and whatever chosen art medium you want to use, Bird is here to help you develop how YOU want illustrate avians both wild and domestic. Using his own personal examples from a wide range of physical, traditional, and digital art mediums, this class is to help you figure out your own personal approach to illustrating birds.
